Gear splitter on Farmal H ????????

Guys, Down here in Central Texas, Gear Splitters on Hs & Ms are scarcer than Hens teeth! More of a Midwest item as a rule.
A buddy of mine called me about an old H that showed up at a local salvage yard. It appears to be a splitter of some sort. Maybe y'all can tell me what it may be......here goes.....
There is a a shaft that comes out of the LH side of the transmission Housing w/ a short 6in lever mounted to it. , just rear of the big mounted equipment Boss, and behind the clutch rod.
there is a lever mounted on the Operators Deck, just right of the Clutch Peddle pad on the Operators Deck.
That shifter has a RH sideways square U made into the lever so it doesn't interfere with the clutch peddle when it is depressed. Then a vertical rod to connect the lever to the shifter.
There were no old stickers to be seen, or embossed letters on the shifter or lever!
My Question is what make of splitter is this that I have described, ?????? Any ideas?
IYO, is it worth anything much?
Thanks Guys

if it is opposite a brake assembly on the other side, it is a clutch. It engages and disengages the pinion that drives the bull gear in the finals.
It would provide a method to allow the PTO to continue to operate (and the corn picker/belt drive) while it is stopped from forward motion.
Handy for bailing, mowing, and other PTO with motion work. Jim

It gives you overdrive in gears 1 thru 4 5th is road gear and it does not affect it the od also makes reverse and the pto faster but not belt pulley. In direct drive the speeds are original. Drive it you will like it.

It's really not a splitter in terms of giving speeds between the 4 field gears. Rather it gives the 4 additional speeds between 4th and 5th.

I have a Heisler 9 speed on both my H and M and makes a very useable tractor out of them in the hay fields during the summer. Don't use them for tillage so don't really need those slower original gears. Used for moving hay wagons from the field to barns, raking and other mainly transport duties. A very nice optional item and somewhat hard to fine on a H but more common on the M's I've found, Hal.
