H and M Belly Pumps.

I was under the impression that the H and M belly pumps were the same and could be swapped. I removed the belly pump from my H and started to install an original IH dummy belly pump casting from a Super M and it would not fit. Wider and the bolt pattern was different. How or where did I get the idea that the pumps were the same? Or were the Super M's different?

The M and SM are wider than the H and its followers. Implements are interchangeable, usually, but the pumps are different as the torque tube is different.

H & M pumps are very different; on the outside they look the same, however.

Whoever gave you that impression, gave you the wrong impression.

I've never seen anyone here say the units were the same. Maybe some of the INTERNAL parts are the same, but not the whole unit.
