SMTA trading prices?

I'm wondering what you guys have seen SMTA's trade for lately. Good, bad and great condition. I see them for all kinds of asking prices. I've seen a couple nearby that I'm interested in.

I agree with Andrew. If very pristine and with new tires and paint, 7000 could happen. For farm fresh with repairs needed, it could be in the teens. Jim

Unless there is something special like a fresh overhaul take the price of 4 new tires and tubes and add $1000.00.

Not for an SMTA around here. Much higher.

People like to pretend the tractor market is depressed, but if it is, it isn't depressed much.

I've looked at a lot of tractors over the past year or so, looking for a new project. Asking prices have done nothing but gone UP, and the asking price is the price, period. No negotiation. They won't even consider an offer $100 less.

Call them back in a week and the tractor is gone, so apparently SOMEBODY is paying these prices.

$2700 will get you a derelict MTA. $5000 will get you one that you'd take out in the field and put to work. That's about what the market has been right along.
