Blue ribbon Farmall

i live close to Duquion, IL. where this year's Red POwer round up will be. Heard some talk about a Blue Ribbon tractor tent. Can some one explain to me what defines a blue ribbon Farmall?

IH printed "blue ribbon" manuals for specific parts of the tractor. I suppose that a "blue ribbon" tractor was simply a tractor that was completely inspected and repaired according to those manuals. Some hype involved as with all advertising. There was a picture of one a few days ago that still had a blue ribbon sticker on it.

Have seen several mentions of the Red Power Roundup and its location , but have not seen the dates posted of the event. Just might get to go if I knew when. Thanks, Joe

Whan I was young and hung out with my Dad a lot, especually at the I.H. dealer, my favorite place!
Blue Ribbon parts meant new and improved ,on used equipment meant been gone through and had a warranty. New equipment meant new improved and warranty.
My Dad bought a used 55w hay baler and a used 220-A cotton picker that I remember the blue ribbon sticker on them. Tony

I would like to hijack if you don't mind. Was the blue ribbon reconditioning available on everything?
