suggestion on rebuild kit

Well I about got my H motor tore all the way down I was wondering what were some of the rebuild kits some of yall have put in them An what might be the best

There are only one or two manufacturers of engine kits, and several hundred different retailers. The kits marketed by Tisco are probably as good as it gets. Know what size bearing inserts you need prior to ordering.

I've been buying mine online from SE(South East)Tractor parts. Most reasonable priced I have found and after purchasing several, I have no complaints. 1 even went into my log skidder which has since gotten some pretty good workouts. No problems.

Have your crankshaft measured for wear at your local auto machine shop. They won't grind it undersize unless it needs it. It may need polishing. Buy your bearings from the machine shop. They also have sleeve kits here on this forum. Hal

Smith Implement in Richmond, Indiana can get you an American made kit. They are still out there. My goal is to keep dollars at home when possible. I might do one or two more in frame overhauls before I leave this earth.
