F 12 coolant

What do you run in your old Farmalls as far as coolant goes? Do you use antifreeze or straight water?

50/50 mix 1/2 antifreeze and 1/2 water. Be sure to buy the straight antifreeze and not the premixed stuff.

A discussion on the premixed stuff on this very forum has changed my
opinion of the premixed, supposedly it uses de-mineralized water
(distilled or R.O.) said to reduce mineral deposits in your cooling
systems something to consider if you have hard water. Just make sure you
know what you're buying straight or pre-mixed so you get the right
concentration in you cooling system.

Do what Bill suggested using a 50/50 mix. Permanent doesn't mean forever. I would change
it after 2 years of use. Hal

i just got 6 gallons of full strength yesterday and noticed the price for the premix was 1 dollar more per gallon. so i went to the grocery store and bought 6 gallons of distilled water for 1.09 each, now i have 12 gallons of 50/50 antifreeze ready on the shelf. Im not a rocket scientits, but i can definately figure out where the better deal is money wise on the antifreeze situation
