FARMALL H 3 POINT HITCH

I want to tow this disc with a 3 Point on my other Farmall H.
Is a 26" Cat 1 tow bar with a 3 Point strong enough to tow this 8' disc?

If you get a Saginaw 3 point, you use the existing drawbar, including the swinging part. However a 8 ft OFFSET disk is too big for an H unless you reduce the angle and go shallow, which it looks like you are doing. I have pulled an offset about that size with a 70 HP JD 3020, it had all it wanted. It was heavier and had wheels for depth control. Actually an 8 ft tandem is all an H wants if you have any depth. We pulled a 6 ft heavily weighted disk with an H in 3rd. The H was loaded.

I missed the "other H". So it depends on the strenght of your 3 point. One as strong as the Saginaw, which is overbuilt, will pull it. However, I don't like pulling with a 3 point or fast hitch as it does cause wear.

Backing CNKS up here.

I think he is taking about a 3 point that retains the U bar and swinging drawbar like mine????

Either way,I believe you are GOOD.If it is a GOOD aftermarket 3 point.I watch guys hitch thier plows to the 3 point drawbar on them.A good one is as heavy as the original drawbar, although,SOME are not!

Here is the hitch on the "other H". I had to remove the drawbar to get the implements on the hitch.

That drawbar is attached to the frame of the 3 point if I see it right. Thus there is no movement of the 3 point arms etc. Looks fine, just keep the bolts tight.
