Can someone tell me the proper way to set the valves on a Farmall Regular? Thankyou for your time, Mark.

Mark,Ive always set it to TDC and adjusted 1,2,3,5, cylinders than rotate it 360 degrees than adjust 4,6,7,8,.This might sound dumb but Ive never used a gage,I go by sight and feel,I try to run them a little loose. You can recheck them several times after running. If youve had the pushrods out theres a good chance theres some dirt under the pushrods

Mark, Jimmys system will work but that is not whats in the manual. TDC Adjust both valves #1
half turn on crank and adjust #3 valves half turn than #4 valves half turn than #2 valves.
I do use a filer gauge. Manual says .017 hot if not hot I go .019 cold

This is a simplified version from Janicholson, I just did it on my H and it worked PERFECTLY!

1) Take out the spark plugs.

2) Set the intake valve on cylinder No. 1 (front) when its exhaust valve just starts to open. Turn the engine till the exhaust just starts to begin opening (moves) then adjust the intake valve.

3) Set the exhaust when the intake just closes. Rotate more until the intake just closes (just stops moving after having been open) and adjust the exhaust.

Treat every cylinder (pair of valves) the same way, remembering they switch places between cylinders.

The order in a Farmall H is: (front to back EI - IE - EI - IE )
