repairing an F-20 oil filter base

The nut in the center of the base, that the draw down bolt threads into, is not straight. It is off center. When the bolt is threaded into it, it pulls the oil filter canister to the side. How is this nut attached to the base? I don't want to break it, and so I am hoping that someone can give him a good suggestion for getting it straighter.
Thank you
Steve

I would just get a replacement. The F20, F30, W30 all use the same oil filter housing assembly, good used ones are plentiful and cheap. I have several myself, I can sell one to you.

SDE, I had one that was worpped where the cap meet the base it would not seal at all. Do what Kirk said replace it. oldiron29

I forgot that I have a spare block in the other shed. It has one on it and so I should be ok about the oil filter base.

But, I discovered that the two front crankshaft pulleys I had were not for a 1.75 diameter shaft. So all my work last week was wasted. Do you have a front pulley for an F20?
Thank you
Steve
