Can anyone tell me the part # for the valve seals for my H,does every seal come in one kit, looks like the rubber seal,a round peice of plastic or something in the top of the seal and a wire spring clamp that holds the seal in place,I would like to order them from ytmag

That sounds like a perfect circle seal. It was not an original part but IH did sell them in the 60's and up. I put a lot of them on over the years but the last ones I got through CASEIH were very expensive and I think you could do much better getting them from a machine shop.

Those seals originated from SEALED POWER and are still available at most auto supplies or parts stores. SEALED power also had tools to cut the guides for the seals. YOU can use umbrella seals that are common on most automotive applications

There were no valve seals used on the H. The two grooves in the valve stem are for the locks in the top one and the retainer clip in the bottom one. That being said, I have had good results using the umbrella type for the 5.0 Ford small block engine, using them in the retaining clip groove and doing away with the retaining clip altogether.
