one of the pistons on this stuck SH is sticky at the wrist pin. What is the correct way to take out pin so I can investigate? I have kept it soaking because there was rust on the rod.

Clean and shiny, remove the clips if any, support it with absolute full contact around the pin. Use a wrist pin driver (stepped punch like tool), then pushing it out with an arbor press.
Sometimes gentle heating of the components is necessary. The clearance is .0005 on the bushing. Some are just tight enough to hold the piston from flopping against gravity when held sideways. Jim
