MORE PROGRESS....

We got the other frame rail back from sand blasting, primed & remounted, removed the side you can see in the photos below.

Rear rims are done, sand blasted and powder coated, taking the other frame rail over for blasting and priming. Also taking the rim hardware (bolts & nuts) over to get blasted and powder coated to match rims. Very carefully they will be remounted with new tubes and will go back on after tractor is RED.

Head is back from machine shop good to go!

Got the word more loose parts are red... fuel tank, front weights & rear weights, and few other parts.

Next week in the stop we'll get head back on, remove oil pan to install new gasket. Then we just have few loose ends to get done, another steam cleaning.... THEN off to sand plaster and primed, and RED PAINT!

CANT WAIT!!!

You would not believe the pile of parts waiting to be installed... crazy.

Honestly still think we can make RPRU in July...

Lots of RED parts downstairs just waiting :) My wife will be glad when they are gone that's for sure.

thanks....

it's really coming along.

Few weeks away from a "red" tractor, then it's time to get back together.

Super thankful for some friends who have helped me with this.

Back in Jun 2010 my dad and I attended Heritage Tractor Ride in Hennepin IL, after we decided it was finally time to redo our 560. Dad & I thought that would be fun to restore it, you know "a project". The next month my dad passed away from an heart attack. So needless to say this tractor has lots of meaning to me. It started as simple redo as the tractor is VERY solid, but that changed and went all out as you can tell. It's crazy the amount of time & money it takes to do this right but I think when it's done it will be totally worth it.

Doubtful you will see one like this... nothing really custom other than the "look" will be little different than stock. We are replacing all the wiring, hoses, and many other things and will NOT paint over them. Lots of parts have been paint off the tractor to insure high detail. I could go on and on.

Super attention to detail :)

We plan to have a night at the shop during reassembly and invite several of my dad's farmer friends over to "help" :) they have all been around this tractor & I they have not seen it yet either.

This project is a great way to honor dad.
