A question or two about my H's wide front....

Is there more than just one IH wide front for the H, SH, 300, etc.? The WF on my "new" H needs a few parts. The steering arm(?) has one of the stops hacked off of it, the tie rod is bowed & I'm not sure the wheels are original. They look like the ones on my W6, yet the rims are correct. Is there some kind of extension for the hand crank & how do I reach the zerk for the hand crank drive? Was a manual printed for the WF attachment? If so, does anyone have the publication number so I can order/find one? I'd like to tighten up the steering some. It's sloppier than a spanish hamburger!

Thanks,
Mike

Yes, there are 2 styles. Mike, you have the early style with the tie rods out front that came on the H and maybe the earlier Super H`s. Brendon has the later version with the tie rods behind the axle that came out on the Super H and on through the 350. The later version is harder to find and quite pricey if in good shape.

There were also two different types of front hubs. Both are correct for any year tractor.

There's an adjustable tread style with lugs on the rims. The other style is a clamp-on with smooth rims.

You have the rims for the adjustable front hubs installed on the clamp style front hubs.

Was just looking in my Super H parts book. The switch to the later style widefront came at serial # 19234, same serial # break for the switch from Stage I to Stage II Super H`s. The parts breakdown for the early style widefront shows a special longer hand crank as well. I don`t know that there was a seperate manual for widefronts.
