just got this home today ... was going to be sold for scrap. began life on a Jaeger air compressor.. last used in a sawmill

It's been inside the sawmill since it was last used .. at least 5 years ago maybe longer .. supposedly ran fine at that time. I have a small sawmill on the farm here ,, this would be extreme over kill for it. Plan right now is to see what I have . get it to run and then ??? not sure ? first plan is to get it off the trailer !!!

would that be a gas start engine ?
would not work hard on the saw mill .

yes, starts on gas. local guy had it here hooked up to a Lane sawmill ,, direct drive from engine to saw! could only run it at an idle to get the correct saw speed.

The engine is interesting, but what I like are those beautiful fields behind the trailer.
