Super C fast hitch sickle mower question

Did they make a belt drive (without pitman) for the Super C, fast hitch? If so, can you provide some info, etc. on them as well as the pitman drive model. Thanks

Fast hitch implements are not commonly found here in Atlantic Canada, except for ploughs. They are pretty common so I'm surprised that more sets of disk harrows are not around because everyone who had a plough, needed disk too I assume. A distant second place would go to sickle mowers.

Super A and Super C tractors were way more common here than the larger H and M models and wide fronts are also very common in all models. The farms of years ago tended to be smaller in size which explains the high number of Super C tractors.

Yes, both the model 100, 120 & either the 1100 or 1300 (don't recall) balanced-head mowers could be outfitted with the single prong for the fast hitch. Not sure about the pitman drive models. The 100 debuted in '58 & the 120 in '61. They were replaced in '68 by the 1000 series.

Here is a photo of my fast hitch sickle bar mower.
It's hangin on the back og my 350lp, but has the small prongs for my Super C. I just put a 1/2" spacer on the bottom

Your mower looks just like the one we had on our 300 utility. Your"s is the first i"ve seen just like it : on all the others the drive pulley was directly above the pitman pulley. We also used the spacers. The triangle shaped piece you have a chain on, we had a long flat steel bar that angled to the top link attatchment point ; the one that rotated with the fast hitch lift arms. It raised the cutter bar up first. On yours does the chain attatch below the lift cylinder? That is how we adapted it to fit our 340 utility.

I just run a chain over the left rear axle back to the arm on the mower, set it with some tension to hold the bar up and it will pick the bar up with the mower somewhat.
Help me. Is there supposed to be an 11/16" left hand thread jam nut on the bottom pulley that moves the pitman on the back? I just happened to look there, saw threads on shaft sticking out.

Mark,I just took another look at the pictures. You`re right, not as many of that model around. It`s a U-F28 , made especially for the 300 Utility. Dead giveaway is the longer vertical distance from fast hitch prongs down to the base of mower than the more common C-24 FH mower.

It appears you know your old fasthitch mowers. Not sure what model I have, but the bottom pulley attaches to pitman is directly below drive pulley. There is an 11/16" (LH?) threaded end sticking out. I replaced the triangular piece of steel that attaches to pitman arm, but don't remember a cap or jam nut that may have come off or carelessly not been put back. Is there supposed to be a nut on that thread? I can get 11/16" LH or RH jam nuts off Jeep CJ tie rods.
