IH Single seed planter plate ID

I have 2 hoppers and about 80 pieces including various bottoms, plates, spacers, agitators?? All have part #'s.

I have scoured my FCI -1A Farmall C/SC parts manual and can find reference to the part #'s as they came in "kits". But no reference as to what part # seed plate is for what kind of seed.

Any body have one? or can tell me what the manual part #is so I can order one?

I've been constantly on the internet accumulating parts to restore my C251 FH planter with Richmond hoppers. Richmond bottoms and plates seem to be common and easy to come by.

These are the only single seed bottoms I've ever seen. That makes them ultra rare?? as in valuable so I can retire rich:) or junk that didn't work so IH discontinued the design??

I've been around IH planters all my life.I have never seen IH plates like those.Maybe they are some kind of preIH or very early IH.The PO in the casting kinda indicates that.Even my old #42(from the '40s) and the F-12? planter uses the 'standard' IH plate

I have a Owners Manual for a H M 46 and 47 lister and it shows those plates ,filler plates, seed bottoms and part numbers.Looks like ,pea, velvet beans, cotton, peanuts,Marrow beans,Kidney beans, soy beans, lima, mexican, nova scotia, all kinds of corn.

They aren't that unusual, depending on what part of the country you are in. There were (as far as I have seen) 3 different types of cut-off plates that could be put into those hoppers. One each for cotton, corn and peanuts. In the parts catalog, you will find some plates listed with each of these cut-offs. That will give you some clue as to the type seed each plate is designed for. Other plates are just listed by cell size and count. I think (don't know) that the corn cut-off is used for most other crops.

I have never seen a big table of plate number vs. crop for these plates as you find for the Richmond type plates. I guess you just have to work a little harder at it with these. I see parts for all 3 type cut-offs in your pictures.
