Zenith carb model number for a '51 C

I currently have a Carter UT that has O-652 on the air horn (upper) iron casting and 653 on float bowl casting (aluminum). From what I have been reading on this forum, it's pretty much junk and not worth spending too much rebuilding. I plan on putting in a kit that has the float needle and a couple of gaskets...a very low level $ rebuild mainly to keep the float bowl from overflowing.

What model number of Zenith carburetor should I look for to replace this in the future?

Nothing wrong with the carter carbs. Look under parts on the left side of the page it will give all the numbers for a zenith if you really want to change.

My Farmall C Parts Catalog lists the Zenith carb. no as 251182R92 for gasoline engines and 352046R93 for distillate or kerosene engines and this is probably the carbs for a 113 cu. in. engine. The later C's I believe came with the Super C 123 engine but don't know when the crossover took place. You probably have the cu. in. of your engine cast in the block. If you have the 123 engine the Zenith carbs for the Super C with that engine is 355485R91 (gas) and 356901R91 (dist. & kero) per my Super C parts catalog. Hope this helps and not too confusing, Hal.

I have 3 Carters that run great! The biggest thing that I have noticed is the Bowls get warped and need to be squared up.
Don't throw it away!
