Fasrmall 300 rowcrop

I"ve been looking at a Farmall 300 rowcrop with 3-lever hydraulics. There is a pump on the PTO feeding the system, but no pump at the distributor that runs off the cam. Am I assuming correctly that someone removed the pump at the distributor sometime in the past? The tractor has a fast hitch, so it had to have originally come from the factory with a pump of some kind.

Any comments would be helpful.

The most likely explanation is that the distributor pump failed on a previous owner and the PTO pump was the cheap fix. Entirely possible but unlikely is the tractor started out hydraulics deleted and somebody hodge-podged the whole set up but they usually don't buy the original 3 lever assembly either.

Original 300 hydraulic reservoir is small for a lot of pto pumps so I wonder if it has another oil supply, or a loader with one on the tractor?

Thanks. What I'm really wondering, but didn't ask properly, was if the 300 RC came from the factory with hydraulics, wouldn't the pump have been located at the distributor; wasn't that the standard configuration for a 300 row crop with 3-lever hydraulics from the factory?
