340 tractor deal!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was looking on craigslist today, and in the Fredricksburg Virginia area is listed a Farmall 340 that looks great for $1100. The front side mounted slab weights are worth more than half that wish I lived a little closer and had some spare $$$$ but this could be a nice find for someone.

You bet ! Looks like it`s a fairly straight tractor. It even has the hood side panel over the engine ,at least on one side. They are missing on most 340`s and hard to find. $100 a piece at Bates Corp for reproductions. Tractor must not have any hydraulic remotes, though, I don`t see any levers on the right side of dash. Can`t tell about having it fast hitch. Wish it were closer to me too !!

I am about 5 hours from there but my money is funny, but the one thing that caught my eye was the battery cover is still in place, that you never see.

I didn`t notice that. Those 340 battery covers along with the 240`s are next to impossible to find.I found one at the Red Power in Madison,WI a few years ago and was extremely happy, I`d been looking a long time.
