Farmall A manifold

My new manifold has two small (1/8" or so) holes on the underside of the squared chamber above the carburetor. They arent threaded. Manifold was purchased from a CaseIH dealer. I guess the doesnt guarantee its not Chinese. What am I missing?

I believe they are holes to drain water if it gets into the manifold. I've heard that about other manifolds.

Exactly. Those holes are SUPPOSED to be there.
