Hey guys, I have read in the archives about swapping the first gear out of a B and replacing it with that of a 140 to slow it down.

How big of a job is it? Keeping in mind I have never swapped gears out of anything before, is it doable for someone with little experience in this area?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Nick

That's a big job. Trans has got to be completely disassembled, which means separation from the rest of the tractor. Final drives have to come off and the differential removed. Good project, not a quicky by any stretch.
