Good match in a rattle can

I need to do some touch up on some implements and other doodads I am working on and I am out of my supply of rattle can paint from the IH dealer. It is an hour drive for me to go back to the dealer. Is there a good match for the IH paint "2150 I think" in a rattle can that I can pick up at a Lowes or home depot or something. I don’t need an exact match but close would be nice.
Thanks,
Paul

Are you near a Tractor Supply Company?

I prefer the IH 2150 cans but in a pinch have been happy with the TSC Restoration paint also made by Valspar.

Yes, I use a lot of the Tisco IH red in rattle cans. May not be a 100% perfect match, but it's very, very close.

The restoration quality from TSC is a good joice. Be sure and get the restoration and not the reguar tractor implement paint.

Hi Steve, Would you happen to know what the number or the name of the rustoleum paint that is a close match would be? I bought some once going by the color of the cap on the can and it was not even close to what was in the can.

It is from their FARM series, and called "International Red" but I have NEVER seen it at a big box store... They only ever stock JD yellow and green.

I had to special order the Rustoleum IH red.

Try your local ACE hardware. They have IH red in ACE brand spray cans.

Frankly, you'll never get a decent match doing "touch ups" because paint weathers and fades.

Thanks for the ACE tip.
Valu Home Centers usually carry the 'Farm' series of Rustoleum paints

Hi, Paul.

I use "5455 0 Case I.H Red Industrial Enamel" from Tallmans Ag Specialty Coatings. I buy it at Jerry's Paint Store, which I think is actually a chain of stores. It's a bit pricey at $6 or so per rattle can, but you can tell as soon as you push the button that it's no cheap Krylon stuff! (Not bashing Krylon...It has its uses, but not on my tractors.) You can contact Tallmans at 1-800-677-2468.
