Front tires

I put a Speeco heavy duty wide front end on my Farmall 340
and now the nose is pointing uphill. Just looks wrong to my
eye.
Front tires are the same size as before, 650 x 16" and the
rears are 38". Would it help level it out if I put 15" tires on the
front, say 650 x 15"? I'm not sure the 15" tires would be any
smaller in outer diameter. The 16" tires are 28" in diameter.

Going from 6.50-16 to 6.50-15 will only lower the nose 1/2". You'd need to go to some real skinny 15" tires like 4.00-15, or to 14" rims or even 13" to get any real nose-droppage.

Putting bigger tires on the back saps the tractor's power.

If you look at the 40/60 series as a whole, the tractors tended to sit nose-high with factory size tires on them anyway. We had a 560 growing up and it just BARELY sat level with new 16.9x38 tires on it. Factory was 15.5x38 which are low-profile tires to begin with.

Besides, tires and rims are expensive so frankly I would learn to like it.
