Hello: Anybody know of where I can find Plow Chief wear parts? Either that or how I could convert to Super Chief? They are 14" bottoms. Thank you for ANY input.

To be honest it`s hard to tell, but from the pics, those don`t look like Plow Chief bottoms on your plow. Anyway, if you want to change the plow to Super Chief bottoms, if you can find the complete 14" Super Chief bottoms, they will bolt right up on your plow.

I agree with Mark. From what I learned yesterday Plow Chiefs will have a bunch of pieces and a flat bottom. A "blacksmith" bottom will have two like yours.

I think IHC Ploughman shared it best when he said:
I just don't recommend doing it because by the time you spend money buying the individual bottoms or a whole plow you could have welded up the wear pockets in your old bottoms, sharpened the shares, and had money still in your pocket. It is also my opinion that the newer throw-away lays do not hold a little two or three bottom plow in the ground like a properly sharpened blacksmith share. The big semi-mount plows used the weight of the plow more than the shares to hold it in the ground. Blacksmith shares are not rocket science either, a little torch and grinder work and you can make almost any share work, as long as its not worn down to a nub. You've got HSKA bottoms on the 3-14, they'll work awesome, just weld up the wear pockets. The 3-16 has Plow Chief bottoms, you can get Chinese points for it for 8 or 9 dollars.

I agree those don't look like plow chief, look like the old genius bottoms. You could probably find a complete plow with super chief bottoms, one of the many later models, take the bottoms off for your plow, scrap the rest and come out pretty good. 4 and 5 bottoms go pretty cheap at auctions, lots of them ending up at scrap yards.

Definitely NOT Plow Chief bottoms.

You need to find yourself a parts plow with the Super Chief bottoms on it.

Don't scrap the old bottoms. There is always someone looking for a usable share or moldboard to repair their "plow day" plow.

... And once you've swapped the frogs be ready to spend right around $200 +/- per bottom for new iron (if you use a non IH moldboard anyway).
