Cub Drawbar

I had this drawbar welded to the piece that the 59" belly mower tensioner pulleys attach to. It is a lot easier than taking the mower off just to pull a wagon!

Ahem...

True, I suppose I could have just bolted the drawbar on as it was "originally intended", but I prefer to stimulate my brain by working creatively to solve nonexistent problems.

Actually, I had no idea that the original drawbar would work. I went back and looked at the Cub and, sure enough, there is space for the drawbar. I feel pretty sheepish now (I always wondered why there was space on either side of the bracket). Do you think it will work the way I fixed it? By the way, what manual did you get that out of?

Go to farmallcub.com you can download all manuals for your cub for free. If you have the draw bar I would put it on if not you can find them cheap. I don"t know what you pull with your cub but I pull large trailers around the yard with mine I would worry about damaging the mower deck.

The drawbar won't fit now, but I took the spacers off it and installed them between the bracket and the final drives. It should be fine now, shouldn't it?
