574 lift arm hand crank repair ????

on the hand crank it turns good and stuff but its like the shaft or the bottom part is striped or something.is there anyway i can repair this with out buying new pieces?

I would first find out if it really is stripped or not. Surprised it doen"t pull apart with a load if it is stripped.

what it does it wont screw up.if you hold up on it and turn it it does.but soon as you put preasure on it it falls back down..

Yep sounds like a section of the threads are stripped.

Can you push down and get it to unscrew the rest of the way.

Should have added if you don't need to adjust it and just need it to hold level with the other arm, just get it where you want and weld it.

It's no good the way it is anyway.

Now if you want a show tractor or need to adjust, get it apart and take it to a machine shop and they may be able to weld up the threads and recut them on a lathe.
