MD Fuel Sediment Bowl Assembly

Has anyone ever used a regular gas sediment bowl assembly on a Farmall MD? I cannot get the original diesel shutoff to quit dripping and thought about using a regular sediment bowl.

the diesel shut off under tank has nothing to do with the sediment bowl on the engine. the sediment bowl either needs a new gasket or the aluminum housing is warped from being over tightened. if the shutoff is leaking then it may be a damaged seat or junk in there.

Yes, I have one on my MD. IT was there when I got the tractor. Since the tractor ran fine, I saw no reason to change it. Just open it up almost all the way and you'll get good fuel flow. If you go with the bowl setup, you may not be able to find a bowl with the same fitting size as your fuel line, so you'll have to rig up a fiting that fits the bowl and then connect that to your factory fuel line with a short piece of hose. It's of course not factory, doesn't look quite as nice, but will work.
