Two weeks ago I posted a message about 4 wheel weights and a wheel (cast iron) being stolen from my barn. As luck would have it, my son is a Cincinnati police detective and he has a lead on a couple of guys doing some work at the farm who sold 800 lbs of cast iron. My question is this: What would be the replacement price for wheel weights and a wheel? All parts are for an M. Thanks, Ellis

I sell the 150 lb weights fro $100 a set. I woudl guess awheel center to be worth $100.

Rear wheel weights go for about $50 to $75 apiece and the cast centers start at about $75 plus shipping.(If one would have them shipped???)

Ellis,DO NOT CUT YOURSELF SHORT,I have always been a nice guy,and its costed me money. It cost to replace something, finding them, buying them, going after them, mounting them, cost of replacing them{bolts penterating oil, diffuculties, labor, ect}painting them, not counting the time you could be doing something else.Add up every thing you will spend and multiply it by 4,then youll be close

If they where sold to a scrap yard I would think you could get them back since they were stolen, if they was not processed in the yard yet. And the yard would have a record of who turned them in. Everyone selling scrap has to have current I.D to sell scrap.

I am an expert in these matters, so print this out for further use.
Value of the 4 weights, wheel, hardware, shipping and handling, total is $700.00

Keep in mind the replacement iron you is apt to be rusty and unpainted, if rear weights are worth $100, you need to add time and materials to get them back in shape. I've must spent hours and hours with a wire wheel prepping and painting, no way I'd cell my cast iron centers or weights for $500.
Don't just list the purchase price, shipping and prep work would be more than double purchase price in my book.
I dropped off some scrap fencing on Saturday (in Michigan), they took my drivers licence and finger printed me, shouldn't be hard to find the scumbags.
