Quick attach- Is this complete?

Hello,

I am new to the club, proud owner of my first tractor, a IH 340 Utility. It has the quick attach system on it. I am looking at buying some 3 point attachments, but would like to pick your brains a little. For the quick attach to work, does the implement need to have an adapter? Would it be to my advantage to switch this over to a conventional 3 point? Any help is appreciated.

here is what it looks like, is this complete?

Not sure if its complete or not, but I would go ahead and use it the way it is. Just make sure those little levers on the lower arms lock into place somehow. Otherwise you're liable to yank something around by the toplink. Looks pretty darn good to me. I wish the 3 pt conversion on my old 340 was as nice as that one. just be careful of the pto shaft if you're using a mower or other pto drive impliment. Could hit the drawbar if it goes up too far. Good luck, but most of all enjoy your 340! I loved mine. Kippster

Should add that no adapter is needed just an adjustable 3 point top link that will work with all your impliments. it fastens to those two little ears up top there with a good sized pin or in a pinch a big bolt will work. Can buy them at tractor supply. your hitch looks to be a category one type. Kippster

How are those tabs supposed to lock? That is what i have been thinking all along, this thing will work but those need to lock. As of right now it appears to me there is no way for them to lock.

I bought a 3 pt mower last night. The 3 point pins are 1/2" wider at their smallest point than the width of the quick attach arms. I am going to shim the "drawbar" so it widens the arms, now just to lock the tabs down?
