Converting a generator to 12 Volts

Only problem I got with converting the generator is you've still got a generator and mechanical regulator when it's all said and done.

For what few hours my little Super A has gotten in the last 4 years, it's already on its THIRD regulator. Last one blew after I'd just driven for an hour to move some stone at my airplane club's parking lot. Luckily the battery held for the rest of the day.

When this regulator gives up the ghost I'm going 12 Volt with an alternator.

My SA has a cute little Mitsubishi rice burner alternator on it that someone had installed before I bought it. I never have to worry about a dead battery. I don't care for how they "look" but it sure beats fighting with regulators every Spring when you pull them out of the barn... Both of my M's and my 560D are dead this Spring... Not that I don't have enough to do or anything. Battery charger has been seeing a lot of use lately.
