Anybody have a wiring diagram for a 230? This one wont shut of with key, so it must have a feed from the generator I suspect. Your thoughts?thanks
 
Your ignition switch may be the problem. Locate the wire that feeds battery voltage to your coil
on your switch. Pull that wire off the switch when the engine is at an idle and see if the engine stops. Alternators can cause voltage back feeding causing the engine to keep running. Your switch may not have a good ground. Hal
 
El Toro indicates a backfeed. If it does have an Alternator, put a 3 amp diode in the wie that attaches it to the ignition. Band on diode toward alt. A 10 ohm resistor, or marker light will also work in series. Jim
