Farmall 400 Exhaust Manifold Torque Specs

I have been searching the net and this site for the proper torque specs for the exhaust manifold bolts on a gas farmall 400. So far I have seen numbers from 25 all the way to 55. would like to know if anyone has the correct specs for these. Also, I do not do this often, any advice on proper technique? I am under the impression you tighten from the inside bolts and work your way out starting with a low torque number. Then repeat working up to a higher torque number until the proper torque is reached. how many steps would be wise to use? should they be checked and retorqued after warmed up?

Thanks for any advice.

The nuts should be made of Brass. They will be discolored after alot of years. Brass may not like to be tighten to 55Lbs.
