H4 mag question

I"m trying to figure out what kind of puller to use to remove the inner impulse coupling carrier off of the mag shaft. Any ideas? I have a mag manual ordered but it hasn"t came in yet. Thanks!

There is a special puller that screws into the coupler with a bolt in the center that you tighten to pull the coupler off the shaft.

I bought mine from Branson Enterprises.

A small jaw puller works. Or make one that fits the threads on the impulse part.

I think 5/8 fine bolt with a hole
to clear the shaft 3/8 Thread
I think ,7/16 about 1/4 inch deep
So it will push on the shaft and
pull the impulse coupling off

PoppinJohn720, I am so sorry, the puller is a 9/16-24 national extra fine tread, I made mine on a lathe and I do not know if you will be able to find a bolt with that thread, again I am sorry for the bad info yesterday,good luck, stumper
