the charge pump starts out with 500 psi then drops to 200 psi then pulsates sounds like air in system i have overfilled it 5 gal. and it still does it any ideas ??

we had the same issue with out 186 hydro about 2 years ago turns out the suction tube for the supply pump had fallen off and the pto gears running in the oil next to the suction hole on the pump make enough turbulance to put air bubble in the oil feeding the pump air there is a good mechanic here in NE SD that know the hydros email me for a phone number if needed.

Charge pressure should be around 500 psi in neutral @ 1700 rpm and drop to around 200 psi in F or R.

i have checked the supply tube and replaced the o rings when i drain the oil to remove pump i only get about 7 gals. seems like there should be more i have the blue ribbon service manual but it doesnt seem to adress my problem
