Farmall H Water Pump

I removed the water pump from my 1940 Farmall H. I have a rebuild kit and want to be certain I working on the pump properly before I go further. The threaded flange of the belt pulley is cracked and has been bronzed. I have a spare. Is the fixed flange difficult to remove, and more importantly is it difficult to replace without risk of cracking? I do have a Blue Ribbon Service Training Course, but the diagram is woefully small and difficult to read. Any help appreciated.

If I remember right, there is a small pin that needs to be removed. t may be hard to see. Once that is out it should come apart.

Right on with the pin. It is sometimes hard to
locate as it is in the rim of the pulley. You have
to press the rear flange off after getting the pin
out, and then of course press it back on to same
dimension as before. You can just drill a new hole
if you don't feel confident in getting pin back in
same hole.

Thank you! Found the pin under the paint. It tapped out very easily. The fixed flange then came off the hub with relatively little difficulty. Sadly, when I took off the threaded pulley flange, I discovered that the thread on the water pump hub is damaged. Now looking for a hub with a good thread. The radiator is out getting a new core. Not sure whether to powder coat of spray paint the fan and fan cowling.

Be sure to get the old core back when you retrieve the radiator, as it is solid copper and worth a small fortune at today's prices!
