Solenoid shut-off assembly

I have a few questions about my Marvel Schebler Carb. It is a TSX896SL with a Solenoid shut-off assembly attached to the "left top" of the carb as you look at it on the tractor. I broke the screw that attaches it to the carb and can"t find a replacement. The needle valve on this shutoff is about 2 5/8" long. Looked everywhere. Help? if you have one to sell. Now if I can"t find one how do I put on a replacement carb? if the replacement does not have the electric wire attached? Does it need it?

You don't say what tractor, but those valves on the carb are usually just to close off the gas flow to the jet so the engine does not "diesel" when you shut if off hot. I believe replacement carbs are sold that do not have the solenoid. I'm familiar with one case where one of those was used on a 454 tractor and it worked fine. You just have to throttle back and take some care when you shut the engine down.
