Farmall cub update more problems

Okay i took everything apart. I fixed one of the problems (it is charging now). I put a new external spring on the governor (not exactly perfect but close), new spark plugs, new fuel line. The cub will start and run fine (not surging anymore) but after about a minute it will shut off like the switch is turned off. after a little cranking it will restart and do the same thing. Also fuel was coming out the air intake of the carb when it would die, like the float wasn't working properly. Ideas? bad battery? carb? thank you for the help!

Put some time into fixingt the float. There is probably a piece of trash.dirt in the needle and seat. The one minute running and then stopping like it was shut off is also probably fuel related. The fact that it will restart means it is taking too long to replace the fuel in the carb. There is a screen in the fitting at the carb, as well as the sediment bowl and fitting to the tank thast need to be clean. Fuel should run out of the line at the carb in a 1/8" diameter stream filling a soda can in less than 20 seconds.
