Well my ignorance leads me here as I am wondering if anyone can let me know what the "f" means in the 706f I picked up just wondering. I know its a 67 model wide front in the 75hp class but have no idea what the letters are in the designation. Any help would be great. I searched till My fingers were sore from typing on the net with nothing maybe its me.

Whats the Sn?If diesel, its a 310(german)engine.The sn should read :F-706 SY.'F' simply means 'Farmall'.'S' means torque amplifier,'Y' means 12 gpm hydralic pump. There several suffix letters used, they simply designate different 'options' the tractor is equiped with.
