Wheels of Fire Training Video: http://youtu.be/jBUVzgCHHuA via @youtube If you work with rubber tires you need to see this. Credit is given to Jim Becker who posted this yesterday. I know I have used a torch to remove rusty bolts from an inflated tire and survived for some reason. DANGEROUS!

Good post!

I was TOTALLY oblivious to this!

I have gotten lucky a few times I guess?

And to think,I thought the "either and match bead seating trick" was a bad idea!!!!

My Uncle was killed this way. He was welding a rim on a large slag hauler at a steel factory. Tire exploded and hit a twenty foot ceiling taking him out in its path.

I didnt know about this either, and I once welded a center into a rim for the manure spreader . I had all the air out and the valve core out too, welded a tiny bit at a time and then cooled with water. I am not saying you should ever try that, I am saying I was probably fortunate to still have my head attached after that one! Wow, that is eye-opening huh ....

YEA!!!! I have gotten away with it and I feel lucky to STILL BE AROUND!!! I am trying to think of how many lug nuts I have cut off in my time??

NEVER AGAIN WILL I!!!!
