Hey guys,

I got MORE than a few questions about the 2 top links dropping down to my U bar. Here are some more photos of what is going on.

The TOP photos show where I "studded" the Top of the transmission, installed a nut and torqed down the trans cover.THEN I installed the 1/2 x 3" angles over those studs and added another nut and tightened down. As you can see,the angles are on both sides of the battery box.I use the top link bars to help support the U bar. They SHARE the load with the axle mounts now! When I had the weight of a trailer and a car going backwards up a hill.I feel a little better about it.ALL of this stuff will eventually be coming off in the future. It is reversible in about 45 minutes time at the most.

The bottom photos are of the pintle hook/ball hitch combination .The 2 studs at the bottom bolt thru the U bar.(It goes right where you see the painted swinging drawbar in the photo.I swing the drawbar over to the side)The 3 sided channels at the top of the pintle hitch pin in to those top link bars. And then I retighten the top link bars to SHARE the load of the U bar, just like I did for the drawbar scenario.

It MIGHT be "overkill",but I had some peace of mind by it being MORE secure! ;)
