I have F-12 serial # FS 2402. It has Waukesha #FC 179 L ,3.25 x 4 on engine tag. Waukesha # FL 6D engine,3x4 April 1933 tag on bell housing. Was engine changed? Tractor has fenders,correct-rear wheels (cutoffs),correct-frame-front pedistal-complete engine (may be stuck). Tires poor, otherwise trac is good original. What is it worth.

Very early F-12's had Waukasha engines from the factory. I think that the IH F-12 engines were not ready in time so they put the Waukesha's in some of them.

Your tractor may not be "rare", but it certainly is not just another F-12 either.

I don't know what it is worth, but I would think that the Waukasha adds a little bit to the value, especially if it runs.

Since no one answered your original question, I will. The engine has apparently been changed. The FC was the engine used on Case RC tractors and is a more common engine. Obviously it bolts right up to the bell housing as you know. It definitely diminishes the value of the tractor versus one with the original FL engine.
