Front End Super A vs A

Is the complete front end, steering box, steering column of an A identical/fully interchangeable with that of a Super A?

Thanks.

The ones ive worked on are the same until later SAS changed tie-rod ends. Now of course the heavy industral types are different and the out-put link did fasten on a different out-put shaftbut you could easy tell having them side by side

Same as far as I know - aside from subtle differences like the tie rod ends that Gene pointed out - also might be a bit different in the bearing covers - I think the super A's have kind of a drip edge over the back of the bearing and the A's don't - but that also falls into the "who cares" category. As an asssembly, one should work on the other.

I may be wrong, but I believe either the A or super A's (or both) had an optional non-adjustable front axle.

If I were shopping for a front end, that's one thing I'd watch out for - you definitely want to be able to adjust the wheel width. ('ve only seen it in the manual, not in person - don't know how popular they were)
