'44 H Transmission Cover

I'm removing the trans cover on my H. I removed all the bolts from the top and the belt drive pulley has been removed. As I begin to lift the cover, it appears as if there is something attached to the cover that extends down into the trans. Is there anything I need to be aware of, or can I simply just pull the cover off?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Wonder if you removed the brake cover bolts that go into top cover. If all bolts are out, dowel pins and keep top level and not bind shift forks is all thats left.

Brake covers (and brake cover bolts) are all removed. I guess what I am seeing are the shift forks. When it's time for it to go back on, does it just easily go back into place (shift forks) or are there some steps (or precautions) I need to take?

You have to make sure they are lined up with the gears they move, otherwise you will have to take it back off and do it again. I did that once when I was putting my H back together last summer after installing Super H gears and it cost me about an hour by the time I realized what I had done.
