farmall B throttle and governor adjustemnts

I am working on my fathers farmall B. With the throttle level all the way back in idles slowly and sometimes will die. Then if the throttle is moved at all foward, it speeds up alot and while level is being moved it doesn't change rpm until it gets to about 3/4 and then rpm increases.
The hole in the lever (connected to the governor) on the left side that connects to the carb throttle plate is worn out and has some slop.
On the right side, the shaft that goes from the throttle shaft to the governor, has 2 springs by the gov, the one is the front doesn't look right, short and big the one in back is long and small.
Can the springs, and lever on the left side still be ordered?

can somebody post some instruction on how to adjust the linkages on these?
It has a new carb, but problem was their before it was replaced.
We have another on that runs and idles great and increase speed as you increase throttle.

Thanks for the help.

You need to set the linkage going to the carb. With engine off remove the pin from the clevis going to the carb. Now open the throttle adjust the clevis holding the carb open till the pin goes in. Your input lever on the gov needs to not have any slop where the lever can wiggle around with pressure. That input shaft can be rebushed then you will have good throttle response.

The input shaft is on the right side, correct?
I will go out and check for slop in just a bit.
Any special things to do before removing gov?

No just make sure after getting the gov housing removed that you dont "unhook" the gear that drives the mag or you will get it out of time. You will probably want to loosen the fanbelt to get a little more room to remove the gov housing. You dont need to loosen it but it can help as it gets the fanblades out of the way a little bit. While you have the housing apart check the large and small springs to make sure they have free movement on the throttle shaft.
