Approved Lubricant?

I would like to change the fluids in the steering gear housing, and pto on my 504 but do not know what to use. The operators manual and the I&T manual both say use the approved lubricants. Please excuse my ignorance, but may i ask what they are? Thank you.

I bought an old IH 2504 last year and just decided to change the hydraulic fluid last week. Used Traveller premium hydraulic/transmission fluid from Tractor Supply. Here's a tip, when you drain the old fluid, use a large enough container or be ready to reinsert the drain plug. The manual sez it holds 13 gal.
