My question is,,is there a difference between a 12 volt tractor coil and an auto 12 volt coil? Thanks

If designed to operate with no external resistor (either in the form of a resistor ignition wire, or a ballast resistor) they are the same. Often these will say "Made for use with an external resistor".
If it is designed for full 12v operation, it will say "For use without external resistor". Any of these will be the same as well.
A 6 volt coil is equal to the first described, and will work with a 12v system with ballast resistor.

all my tractors have 1965 ford coils on them they were all 6 volt when i bought them and i changed them to 12 volt
