Cub healed Itself

I bought a Cub and just got it running. It runs real good but smoked a little. I was disappointed when I saw smoke but decided to just use it and maybe this winter I would give her a overhaul. I let it run 2 hours 2 days ago then put it in the shed. Got it out today laid off some rows and not one bit of smoke. What gives maybe a stuck ring got free or what? Can I expect it to go back to smoking?

Sounds like a stuck ring. Had that happen on a Lawn mower once, used synthetic oil and after 10 minutes it was back to no smoke and perfect compression and I have not had a problem since.

as others have said it may just need some run time , when i bought mine it had sat in a city guy's garage for more than 5 years without being started, it smoked pretty good when running, i hung a mower under it and put it to work, within a month it smoked a lot less, the more i ran it, the less it smoked, now it doesnt smoke at all, i changed the oil and filter a couple times too,

pour some seafoam in the oil and the rest of the can in the fuel tank
check the valves as they probably are too tight
good luck
