fast hitch disk

(quoted from post at 19:05:15 03/19/12) Can someone give me the model number for the fast hitch disk that was for the Farmall 100?

Haha, what are the odds that I was logging into the forum to post the SAME EXACT QUESTION (sortof).

I was going to post, what are the model numbers of the Disk Harrows that were used with the Farmall 140 tractor. These disks would be the same for the Farmall Super A, 100, and 130 also. I have several different types of sets, and would LOVE to know the model numbers of them. I will post pictures of mine, and maybe you (rtky56) will recognize one of them and it will be what you have. Not trying to hijack your thread, but keep our same questions contained within one, so hopefully we'll all benifit from the answers.

Just trying to find out if anyone out there would happen to know the model numbers of these sets of disk harrows, or a way to look them up. THANKS~!

Well, unless someone just happens to stumble across this post and can identify them by sight, the only way I know of is to go to the CaseIH website, pull up the "search for parts" system, and start looking.

You can pull up all "disk harrow" parts books, and look through them for something familiar.

Keep in mind that it is very simple to weld a fast hitch point to an old disk, so these may not be fast hitch disks... In fact, I don't think the first disk pictured is an IH disk at all. It looks like something that has been adapted.

I`ll look thru my parts books tonite and see what I can find . Mkirsch, it`s funny you mention that the first one doesn`t look factory. Out of the 3, I would have been most sure that the 1st one was a factory piece- not certain though . The frame looks alot like my C-36 2 point FH disc for my Super C. Like I said , I`ll look later when I have more time.

Yeah,

I can actually confirm that I have two of those disk harrows (the first picture); so I would say it is a "factory" set (of some make, just assumed IH). Although it could be just a coincidence that 2 different people had the same set of disk and decided to make them into F.H. disk

I'll poke around the CASE/IH seach, however if you don't know the model number it is hard to find stuff because sometimes they don't list an overall picture for it, or have it searchable by the tractor it was used with

Well, I have good news for you. I can identify all 3 and they are all genuine IH 1 point fast hitch discs. The top one is the oldest. First called a 1-F36 and then just a Model 36. The middle picture is a Model 122, the newest of the bunch. I found it in a 1972 IH Buyers Guide. The bottom picture is a Model 120. I found it in the 1960 IH Buyers Guide. Cool thing about the 2 later discs is you can unbolt the back half and use it as a light bush & bog disc. Or the back gangs can be bolted up in a hinged position, putting all the weight on the front gangs so they really dig.

What was the cutting widths of these units for the A/SA/100/130/140 series ?

I have a 200 with 2-point 6 ft wide disk, and my 100 with 2-point FH just doesn't have enough behind or front end weight to pull it effectively. I have the two rear wheel weights but no front weights.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

Those findings actually match up because the disk in the 1960 buyers guide came with a 1968 Farmall 140 I've got. The disk from the 1972 buyers guide came with a 1973 Farmall 140 I've got, and the early disk came with a 1956 Farmall 100.
