Removing head on stuck SH

After 12 days of soaking to no avail , I am now committed to remove Head. I have dropped carb from maniflod, removed generator, removed 3/8" line at front of head, unbolted water horn to radiator, and removed valve cover. I have removed head on A before but this is first time I have gone this deep on SH. Do i have to remove the rocker arm assembly to get to all the head bolts? Sure looks like it to me.

I would remove the manifold as well. Your in it this far, why try to save a manifold gasket.

IIRC there are nuts below the rocker arm assembly.

Manifold is heavy, might as well pull it. I have left them on sometimes until head is loose. It gives you more places to pry.

Before you can pull the rockers you'll have to remove the oil tube, it is pretty obvious once you are in there.

Yes, rocker shaft assembly has to come off
If it's just a head gasket job, I leave the manifold
on as it gives me a firm grip when lifting

Don't forget the breather assembly/fitting on the rear face of the head.
