Removing weights - 1466

I feel stupid asking this....but I"m frustrated and need guidance.

It"s been a LONGGGGG time since I removed the front end suitcase style weights on my 1466. The weights hang over the bracket on the front of the tractor and have a small "nipple" (did I say that!) on the weight that goes into the bracket. There are no bolts holding the weights in place nor any braces such as noted in the manual. Bottom line, they are not secured.

I must not be holding my mouth right because for the life of me, I cannot seem to pull the weights up and off. You have to angle the weights enough for the nipple to clear the hole in the bracket but I"ll be darned if I can get enough angle for the bottom lip of the weight to clear the bracket when pulling up.

So if you have any ideas to help this simpleton, please let me know.

Thanks!

Nevermind! I took out my ladder so I could stand above the weights while pulling up....and poof!

That's what I get for being short....lol.
